Pair Drift

Pair Drift is a trading simulator with its own market engine. Trade gold, forex, crypto and stock indices in a realistic setting — candles, an order book, leverage, margin and breaking news — with play money only: no payments, no prizes of value, nothing to cash out.

Two ways to play

• Sandbox — a practice account on live prices with no clock. Pick your starting balance, size trades in lots, use market, limit, stop, stop-limit, trailing stop and OCO orders, and come back later: your account is kept.
• Challenge — five minutes, $1,000, a market in a random mood (bull, bear, choppy, news day, crash, recovery). Avoid the margin call and climb six ranks that unlock more markets, order types and leverage. A daily challenge gives everyone the same market.

How it works

Pick a market, set a size and press BUY if you think the price will rise or SELL if you think it will fall. Close the trade whenever you like: the difference is your profit or loss. Sizes are in lots (1 forex lot = 100,000 units, 1 gold lot = 100 oz), margin is shared across everything you have open, and at a 60% margin level a challenge run ends.

Controls

• Mouse or touch: pick a market, set a size, press BUY or SELL. Drag the chart to scroll, wheel or +/− to zoom, tap the chart to set a limit price.
• Keyboard: B buy · S sell · L limit order · Space close latest position · 1–9, 0 switch market · + / − size · T light/dark theme · ? help · P pause (challenge).

Good to know

Dark and light themes. Progress is saved in your browser only — no account, no ads, no tracking. The sandbox asks public services for market prices and sends nothing about you. Every chart, icon, logo and sound is made by the game's own code.
